Project Overview

As a returning Pinnacle Group renovation customer, the homeowners were determined to ensure their 2-storey residence would truly become their forever home. Despite their love for both the newly renovated house and the surrounding neighbourhood, they faced a looming problem with the stairs. To address this, they weighed the costs of moving to a senior care facility or finding a bungalow that would still require an elevator installation. Ultimately, they decided it was more practical to add an elevator to their current home. This involved meticulous planning, including relocating baths and common spaces across all three floors. The project also included a complete renovation of the basement, where the new elevator would travel, and the addition of a long-desired refrigerated wine room. These changes were complemented by converting the relocated upper floor bath into an accessible bathroom, featuring wider corridors, a curb-less shower, and a future roll-under vanity for wheelchair use. These thoughtful modifications ensured that their home now met all their needs, truly making it their forever home.
