Calgary Renovations Company Gives $600 to Kids Cancer Care Foundation

Calgary, Alberta (November 27, 2013) – Pinnacle Group, a reputable Calgary renovations company, gave $600 to Kids Cancer Care Foundation of Alberta (KCCFA) for their annual Tour for Kids cycling event in July. The company donated the money to support the Tour for Kids sponsorship of Chris DeVries, their Renovation Consultant.

The Pinnacle Group raised awareness of the cycling event by allowing their Facebook community to contribute to the cause. On July 20, they featured the official Tour for Kids website on their Facebook wall and explained that DeVries, who has been participating in the campaign for five years, is $600 short of his $2,500 pledge.

The company announced that once their Facebook page reached 650 likes, they would pay for the remaining $600 even though they had already pledged funds for his participation. The endeavour turned out to be a great success, enabling DeVries to reach his sponsorship target successfully.

Pinnacle Group Founder Paul Klassen and Chris DeVries presented the cheque to KCCFA Community Initiatives Coordinator Lauren Ellis at the Pinnacle Design Studio. Ellis was the main person in charge of the three-day Tour for Kids event. The participation of DeVries and 130 other cyclists allowed the KCCFA to raise over $315,000. DeVries completed over a 500 km ride in this year’s event.

Through their donation, Pinnacle Group was able to help KCCFA achieve their goal of raising funds for the Kids Cancer Camp and Camp Kindle. The recreational activities available at these camps provide an enjoyable and rewarding camping experience for children and their families whose lives are affected by cancer.

The company wishes to have a positive effect on families who need it the most, not only by improving their clients’ homes through their renovations and custom built homes but also by supporting philanthropic causes. Their altruistic spirit has even led Jerome’s Appliance Gallery, one of their suppliers, to donate two brand new appliances last August to the Kids Cancer Camp.

Pinnacle Group is dedicated to providing the best client experience possible before, during and after the renovation of their clients’ homes. Using their proprietary all inclusive approach to home renovation in Calgary, Pinnacle ensures that the unique needs and desires of each family member are embraced in the design of their home, making it their favourite place to be.
